THE PERFECT WASH 'N' GO
Wash 'n' Go has been worn by many curly, kinky and coily hair Naturals but getting the perfect Wash 'n' Go is not always as easy as it looks. Here are a few suggestions from my point of view for short Natural Hair.
- START WITH FRESHLY WASHED HAIR
Start with a freshly co-washed hair & clean scalp using any of your favorite co-washing conditioner and rinse with cold water (this will help seal your cuticle & locks in moisture hence, promoting shine and reducing frizz)
- APPLY YOUR LEAVE-IN AND OIL
While your hair is still soaking wet, simply bend your head either forward or backward (whichever you are comfortable with) and apply your leave-in conditioner & any oil of choice (by now, i assume you are aware of the oils your hair loves)
- APPLY ANY GEL OF YOUR CHOICE (OPTIONAL)
This part is quite optional, some naturalist prefer just the leave-ins and oil while others prefer applying gel also, if you fall in this category then continue reading.
Section hair into 4-6 sections, apply gel of choice (ECO STYLER OLIVE OIL/ARGAN OIL GEL is recommended) starting from the root of each section straight down your curls
- LEAVE HAIR TO AIR-DRY OR WRAP UP
Depending on your hair porosity & density some hair dry up faster than the other, no matter the time frame it takes for your hair to air-dry, it is advised to stay away from heat products. After the application of your leave-in, oil & gel, do not touch your hair till its completely dry and if you are wrapping it up(for lengthy hair), simply use a silk scarf to wrap up into a pineapple by putting all hair up on top of your head and don't untie until completely dry, do not touch.
