In the past months, I have shared with you some methods to growing your hair longer while maintaining a healthy regimen. Today, I will share with you in few words on another method you could try.

The Baggy Method
This is a highly recommended solution to locking in moisture in your hair. If you are still transitioning or simply growing out your hair, this method is very effective for you as it will leave your hair softer, moisturized and bring back elasticity to your tresses.

Things you need:

  • Any leave-in conditioner of your choice/Moisturizer
  • Essential oil
  • Plastic cap/shower cap
  • Elastic band/scarf
Application:
  • Apply your leave-in conditioner/moisturizer to hair
  • Massage gently your Oil of choice to hair
  • If your bagging in the whole hair, simply wear your shower cap and use the elastic band/scarf to secure hair overnight.
  • If your bagging in ends of hair only, then pull hair into high ponytail & wear plastic cap on ends of hair alone secured overnight.

Difference between the B.M & G.H.E

Baggy Method : locks in moisture in the hair, giving it proper moisture it needs to keep from being dry or brittl. It also promotes hair growth & doesnt have to be done everyday.
  • Stimulates hair growth
  • Does not have to be applied on clean or wet hair
  • Conditioner or Moisturizer can be used
Green House Method : increases the stimulation of blood flow to the scalp induced by body heat, hence, helps with length retention & softens the hair. Can be done 5 nights a week or more depending on how effective it is on your hair.
  • Helps with Moisture Retention
  • Done on freshly washed hair (Hair has to be clean)
  • Natural oil/butter can be used
